Jamie Fiocco, Manager and Events Coordinator
Jamie came to McIntyre's in 2005 after fifteen years of working with book publishers in domestic US and international sales. An avid reader from an early age, Jamie remembers as a youngster having her flashlight taken away at bedtime so she couldn't read the next Dr. Seuss book under the covers.


Pete Mock, Book Buyer & Mystery Guru
Pete calls them as he reads them. He came to McIntyre's in 1995 and has developed quite a reputation for recommending lesser-known mystery authors and often-missed authors from other genres. He's never short on opinions but is willing to back up what he has to say. Customers come in and call regularly to check on what he's reading and make plans accordingly!

Beth Kalb, Children’s Book Buyer
Beth, an art history major in college and a former nanny, delights in keeping up on the latest Young Adult and Children's books. She's a big fan of adult fiction as well and tends to read books as they apply to her self-chosen themes. She's now passed through her circus theme and is on to books about twins...


Land Arnold - Book Club Manager
Land joined the McIntyre's team in the Fall of 2007, though he has been a bookseller since 2003. Although he majored in Classics at UNC Greensboro, he mostly reads New Fiction with unreliable narrators and dysfunctional characters. Land is also rarely ashamed to admit that he reads poetry.

Christie Kimsey, Bookseller
Christie joined the bookselling team in Spring 2008 and has quietly rounded out our reading tastes; whether it's high literature or a fun beach read she's up for the task and willing to give an opinion.
